Postgres App overview
The Postgres app contains a full-featured PostgreSQL installation in a single package: PostgreSQL, PostGIS, several procedural languages: PL/pgSQL, PL/Perl, PL/Python, and PLV8 (Javascript) Popular extensions, including hstore and uuid-ossp, and more, including a number of command-line utilities for managing PostgreSQL and working with GIS data.
What’s new in version 2.9.2
- This release updates PostGIS for PostgreSQL 18 to fix a data corruption bug with topologies. In addition, a possible crash in the xml2 contrib extension should be fixed. The PostgreSQL 13–17 binaries are identical to those in the 2.9.1 Postgres.app release. For more information and downloads, please refer to that release.
